This car has been in the family since '85. It has been in my possession since 2001. This is one of the best driving 300d you'll get your hands on. It has brand new tires! The steering components (ball joints, bushings, tie rods, and upper control arms) were replaced 15k miles ago, and there is no slop in the steering. The shock absorbers are Bilstien HD and were replaced 10k miles ago and are still excellent. The dash gauges/lights work, as does the glove box, power windows, power antenna, radio, power door locks/trunk, and sun roof. New Monark injector nozzels were installed 10k miles ago. Air cleaner bracket has been reinforced, so that it doesn't ever break again(super common problem on these cars). Motor mounts and the hydraulic dampers are in great shape( replaced 30k miles ago). Transmission shifts nice with the upgraded pressure modulator(green one). Coolant system has the correct Benz gold colored coolant in it. Radiator was also replaced around 30k miles ago. Heater works.
I have kept this car in great mechanical condition so I could commute in it. However, I no longer use it, and I need the room. It does need cosmetic work. There is some body damage you can see in the pictures. The windshield, has a crack, and the dashboard also has a couple of cracks. The front seat upholstery is shot, but the springs, and cushions are intact, and in good condition. The carpet is faded, and the rear seat is in good condition. Its ready for a cosmetic revamp and then it will be awesome!
