Up for sale is my 1986 Mercedes G300D. The car is being sold as is. I purchased this G back in 2016 with plans to do a major restoration job on it and make it a truck I could take to the beach in the summer. I bought the car in the south of Italy where the climate is very dry, with very little to no snow in the winter and mild temperatures. I stressed finding a car with no rust major rust underneath. The car runs like a dream, extremely smooth and very fun. One little quirk that needs to be worked on, is when shutting off the ignition, the car does not shut down completely. Having no time due to work, I have not addressed the minor issue. The car is equipped with a 5-speed manual and a 3.0-liter, Five cylinder diesel engine (non-turbo). For those asking, the car will do about 60-65 MPH on the highway., but off-road is really where this car shines. Thecar is not equipped with A/C. I had the two seats re-upholstered not too long ago. The car has a clean NJ title and can be registered in any state with no problems. If you are local I encourage anyone to come and take a look at it in person. Do not expect a brand new G-wagon, you are looking at a 32 year old vehicle so please acknowledge that.Please see pictures for details.
