1985 Mercedes Benz 300 Series Coupe Diesel
Description
This is a 1985 Mercedes Benz turbo diesel coupe that belonged to my dad. Has been garaged most of its life. The vehicle has some minor dents, some chips in the paint, a clean interior and no rust. Sun roof works, but the weather sealing needs to be replaced (leaks).
Engine runs good. Transmission shifts a bit rough when cold. Air conditioner runs, but does not blow much cold air. I just replaced the master cylinder, battery, and put on two new front tires. It has a clean title in my name (title was also in my daughter's name for a while as well). The vehicle needs some TLC and I just do not have the time nor the inclination to give the car the attention it needs.
The radio and speakers are not original. Also there is some sort of electrical issue that resulted when my daughter put in the cd player/radio.
The value of this car in fair condition as per the Hagerty website is $5,900. (Vehicles in #4 fair condition, are daily drivers, with flaws visible to the naked eye. The chrome might have pitting or scratches, the windshield might be chipped. Paintwork is imperfect, and perhaps the body has a minor dent. Split seams or a cracked dash, where applicable, might be present. No major parts are missing, but the wheels could differ from the originals, or other non- stock additions might be present. A #4 vehicle can also be a deteriorated restoration.)
