This 1984 Mercedes-Benz 500SEC is an early W126 coupe that shows just under 34k miles and is finished in Silver Blue Metallic over a blue velour interior. Power comes from a 5.0L V8 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission, and modifications are said to be limited to 16” Remotec wheels. The car retains a set of California blue plates. Recent maintenance included new valve cover seals, fuel pressure dampers, thrust arm bushings, and an oil change. The seller also installed new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor. This C126 passed a California emissions test last month and is now being offered with its original manuals, a stamped maintenance booklet, the original window sticker, clean Carfax and AutoCheck reports, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
16″ Remotec wheels (period correct) are equipped with Mercedes-Benz center caps and Michelin Pilot HX tires date-coded from 2017.Blue velour seats are heated and powered, and branded floor mats protect the matching carpets. The car is equipped with an electrically-operated sunroof, and further amenities include central locking, power windows, and a Becker cassette stereo. The headliner is shown to sag slightly on the passenger side near the rear window (very minor about 8” and easily fixed).
Burled walnut trim accents the dash, door panels, and center stack. Interior functions are working properly, including the A/C, which has been converted to use R134a. A almostunnoticeable2" split is present in the dash, and the visor mirror housings are cracked (easily sourced from any 500 series). Just under 34k miles are shown on the 6-digit odometer.
