1987 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Wagon

THIS IS THE VERY RARE (LESS THAN 1500) ONE YEAR ONLY 1987 W124 WAGON.

ODO only reads 172k. She Runs and drives. Car gobbles up the highway and is very good on fuel consumption. She has a few issues. I bought to do her up and use as camper hauler, but my plans have now drastically changed and this is excess to my needs. You can get full classic Hagerty insurance semi-annually for only $100.

SLTHE SLS SUSPENSION SYSTEM IS IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER! It's level and tight, and my favourite thing about this wagon!

Mechanical Issues

·Only major item i've been told is the driver side tie-rod end, it clunks a bit when sharp turning

e·Exhaustvibration (and suspected leak) at idle that goes away under higher than idle revs.

·I believe the drivetrain is completely original, and it shifts well.

·It needs brake pad replacement soon, but i have a new set of pads all round for you.

Interior

·Interior is as expected for a Texas car of 31 years, a few small items need attention.

·Drivers seat has a lot of wear, but the other seats are good.

·All power windows were working up til this week, but suspected that the fuse went out. 4 new switches will be included.

·Heat works. Am told A/C needs to be re-gassed.

All interior/exterior lighting seems to work (bulb sensor isshowing as i think a rear bulb is out - shows when first braked)

The drivers side rear door arm rest has fallen off and needs to be re-attached

Exterior

·Drivers door has a large dent that could be popped out.

The clearcoat has come away from the hood.

·Recent new tires that have a lot of tread.

Some cracks in front headlight plastic cover and rear tail light lens

·Dents, scatches here and there. rear hatch has low impact dent with some bumper damage. No cancerous rust. This was mostly a Texas and west coast

·Side piece broken off rear bumper where towbar is attached

The sunroof has been taped off. PO told me it started leaking a bit due to plugged drains that need to be cleaned out, but they never got to it. Apparently the motor works fine.

I'I'm not sure what the story on the mileage is as the carfax reports higher miles than the OD. The current OD works though.

All in all, the car was seldom used for 7 months before i obtained it. The guy told me that it was a daily driver of his mothers and before she got a modern car.

This is a clear titled running diesel rust-free mercedes wagon that is selling for less than $1000. Please measure your expectations accordingly. That said, she has a LOT of potential.
