1974 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 450SL Convertible

Description

My husband brought this car as a present but I changed my mind as we have no space for it.
The vehicle ran for a week and stopped.
My husband said that while he was driving it during the week, the transmission was very smooth (without any slips).
It starts intermittently but cannot be driven right now.
It will need to be towed in the end of the auction as it needs all 8 fuel injectors and trigger point as per the authorized Mercedes mechanic.
The engine is fine as it was checked by 2 mechanics and they both said it is in a great condition.
We bought it 3 weeks ago and here is a list of things that was done on it:
1. New Spark Plug Wires
2. New Distributor Cap + Rotor
3. New Fuel Pump
4. New Relays
5. New Ignition Wire Set + Coils
6. Electronic Ignition Point Upgrade
7. New Leather Seats
8. Rear Storage Bin Rust Protection Coverage Performed
Additional Tests that were performed by an authorized Mercedes repair shop :
- Compression test for engine - Passed
- Electrical circuit system check and fuel pressure test
- Air Management System check and battery starter test
This car looks good for its age but there are some cosmetic things that could be done on its exterior and interior.
No rust on the body or undercarriage, very solid.
I also noticed that there is no glove box.
The top was patched up with rubberized spray to prevent leakage.
You will need to purchase a new one as it is only temporary. (Hard top not included)
