1985 MERCEDES BENZ DIESEL 300TD WAGON
Description
Daily driver, good running engine and transmission, nice inside and out, rare burgundy interior in good condition with firm seats, no sagging or soft spots, a few small cracks on dashboard, Calif. license tags paid until Feb. 2000, suspension is solid with no rear sag, firm steering with no play, excellent oil pressure, starts right up in the morning with no hesitation or glow plug delay on first try. Engine temperature has always run very cool at normal or below (70-85). Valves adjusted approximately 650 miles ago. I would recommend new brake pads for rear as the parking brake is not holding on a slanted driveway. Both rear windows stay up and motors make noise but do not go up and down. AC and cruise control not working. All day and night lights work plus all instruments and instrument lights. Rear hatch needs shocks installed (have the new shocks). Car was originally from east coast and did get some rust in the undercarage, it has been filled and re strengthed with fiberglass mat and thick gel resin. Signed off clean Californiatitle by prior owner. Car belongs to my nextdoor neighbor (he has two wagons), he is retired and not internet/Ebay savy. Please note that this is a 38 year old car, selling "as is". I have been driving this car on a daily basis without any problems. No smog required in California.
