1977 Mercedes 350SLC EURO European Model 350
Description
EURO 1977 350SLC
This car came with 7 other cars that I purchased from an estate. It was last registered in 2006 before the gentleman that owned it passed away. I took it to my mechanic and had them clean out the fuel system and flush the brakes to get it running properly. They also replaced the fuel pump. Mileage shows 207,000 KM's which is roughly 128,000 Miles. I found this sort of surprising considering how nice the front seats are. Typical sun cracking on the top of the dashboard.
The car runs and drives but the accelerator pedal is a little sticky and the linkage needs to be lubricated. I have driven it about 10 miles since I have owned it. It was originally 737 Papyrus White but the gentleman that owned it before me had it painted 906 Silver Blue Metallic. The car sat outside at some point unfortuantely, and that is why you see the sun damage to the rear parcel shelf area and the top of the rear seat backrest in the pictures. The seats are very nice in all other areas besides that section. The dash console wood pieces were all removed at some point to get at the radio wiring, those pieces are still loose and simply sitting in place. I have not messed with any of the climate control components but I have used the drivers window which works fine.
The car still retains its original euro bumpers and headlights which appear to be in pretty nice shape. Rust wise the car is completely solid and dry underneath. The only rust issues appear to be some surface rust showing around the sunroof, some bubbling near the sunroof, various areas of paint checking/small surface cracks and typical bubbling around front and rear fenders as well. The underside looks very nice which is surprising. I have more pictures, so if you would like to see more please email me and I can send them to you in a online photo album.
The car will definitely need more work to make it a daily driver, but its a good starting point for someone as long as they don't mind the repaint and small areas of rust bubbling on the paint. Assume it needs all systems gone through and checked to make it a fully reliable car.
The car comes with a clear Washington State title. The spare tire in the trunk has a bad tire on it and does not appear to be original to the car. If you have any questions or specific photo requests let me know and I will get to them as soon as possible.
