RARE 10:1 HI compression engine/option 822 producing 300HP.
Some will say one of the best looking coupes ever designed and I have to agree. Looks absolutely stunning. The car is desirable second generation AMG which consists of different design front lip, rear apron and 2 piece wider side skirts vs the older style which was still a great looking but more common. Leather AMG steering wheel. The car has also rear ducktail spoiler with AMG badge which was added on. The car is completely dechromed, meaning all parts that come chrome from the factory have been de chromed and painted to match the car, this is very difficult and expensive process. Also front hood and rear trunk have been replaced with lightweight aluminum ones. The car came very highly optioned from the factory and also has some extra really rare options such as factory Webasto unit that warms up the block or interior of the car. Also super rare Reiserechner trip computer on the right side of the cluster. Those 2 options I have not tried or used but very cool items.
Little history on the car, it was imported to US from Japan in 2005 by a gentleman who also imported couple wide body AMGs, I remember drooling over them when they hit the market and were expensive then but nearly untouchable now as the price quadrupled since. The gentleman I bought the car from was the only owner in US since 2005, and I saw him list it for sale and remove the listings throughout the years, I bought the car from him last summer and drove it home 5 hrs and ran amazing. I did some changes to make it to my taste and also slowly working on replacing some items that needed to be done due to the fact the car is 32 years old. Overall the car is well sorted out and I wouldn't hesitate driving it long distance, there are still few things remaining to be done but nothing that needs immediate attention, a/c was updated by the previous owner but has not been charged yet, I do have the original A/C parts and will be included as well. Interior is very clean and overall excellent condition, all carpets and floor mats are original and in excellent condition for the age, headliner is drooping towards the back windshield a bit which is common on these cars as they get older, very inexpensive fix just haven't gotten to it., dash originally had a carpet cover due to couple small cracks, I replaced that with a vinyl cover which actually looks amazing for $200 investment.
The car has a brand new headers back exhaust, and I installed the original Sebring AMG tips that the previous owner kept and included with the sale.
The car has all new brakes, rotors and pads all around. Also put brand new (refurbished) 3 piece O.Z. racing wheels and all new tires front and back. Wheels and tires are staggered 17x8.5 with 245 front tires and 17x10 with 275 rear tires. These were originally designed for 560 sec and fit perfect in every aspect and are hubcentric to the original sec hub.The car also has new fuel line, both new Bosch fuel pumps, transmission pan seals, new transmission filter. Runs super strong and engine just purrs so smooth, transmission shifts great, it has a real nice German muscle car tone to the exhaust . Engine bay is super clean, so is the under body of the car.
Every angle of the car is so incredibly good looking specially the original euro headlights with the small wipers and dark euro corners, gorgeous euro bumpers, so much character. They don't make cars like this anymore and that's why these are such a great cars to own, while being such classics and timeless designs still offer incredible ride quality and comfort.
Feel free to ask questions if you have any, I have been keeping an open eye for a widebody car so that's something I may consider as partial trade towards. Also want to mention that vin number is european and wont be recognized by this site, correct vehicle vin is wdb1260451a275195. Miles or KM on the car are accurate, previous DMV entered the km from the cluster on previous owner title as miles and was incorrect not sure if that will show on any carfax or not but if it does that would be the reason, I did my due diligence before buying and paperwork was all match. I also had the local police department inspect the car to confirm everything so I can properly register it.I don't have any paperwork from the AMG factory so I cant confirm if the car had any engine internal upgrades as well. If it does that would be a huge plus for the winning bidder.
That being said good luck with the auction, no dreamers and silly offers. I will encourage you to contact me first if you have any questions before placing any bids.Thank you!
