This elegant 1971 Mercedes Benz 300SEL 6.3 is being offered for sale after 24 years of sole ownership. It has been professionally maintained and affectionally cared by a car collector and trained Mercedes-Benz certified mechanic. It is a European model finished in black with grey interior. Our 6.3 has been part of our family over the past nearly quarter century participating in many family events such as weddings and school proms to name a few.

I initially purchased the vehicle in 1995 from a car collector in Los Angeles, CA. It has been a dream to own and drive this Mercedes icon. I began collecting other cars and passed the 6.3 to special events and collection status. It has always been garaged. In years to follow the vehicle “enjoyed” many repairs and more than $35,000 on upgrades, to list some:

-Complete engine overhaul about 10 years ago and less than 2,000 miles.

-Transmission overhaul 4 years ago less than 3,000 miles.

-New leather seats and wool carpeting in 2016 and literally no one has sat in the backseat since.

-New rear air valve last year.

-Steering box overhaul last month.

-Major engine tune 2017 less than 100 miles ago.

-A/C R 134 conversion with Sanden A/C compressor (blows cold)

-Electronic Ignition.

This car drives and performs as it should; it turns heads where ever it goes. Having owned and driven the car over the years one can appreciate the level of sophistication and engineering this car possesses. It is a legend in its own right and not easily paralleled a true classic an icon of German engineering.
