Here is a very rare opportunity to own a triple blue, California legal 280SL 5 speed. To top that, this ultra rare factory 5 speed manual was never offered here in the US.This SL is very uniquedue to the fact it has the lightweight and very peppy M110 engine (inline 6 cylinder with a dual overheadcam) mated to a factory 5 speed getrag transmission. This combo makes this car light and nimble allowingfor great acceleration and even better handling. After driving many 107s (300SL, 280SL 4 and 5 speeds, 500SL, 560SL, 380SL, 350SLC 4 speed, 350SL 4 speed, 380SLC, and a 450SLC) the 280SL 5 speed is hands down the best 107 for a very enjoyabledriving experience. Further more, this example is finished in the rare color combo of lapis bluewith blue interior, a blue dash, blue soft top, and California blue plateswhich is near impossible to come across in a 280SL 5 speed especiallyin California. The recent tune has this car driving better then ever. It is hands down the quickest and most peppy 280 I have ever driven. It feels very comparable to a 350SL 4 speed from a power perspective. Mechanically this car is very sound and is ready to be driven. It shifts properly and has new shift bushings providing a great feel when shifting through the gears. All the lights functionproperly as well. Selling ASIS. PPI encouraged. International buyers are welcomed. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
