1986 Mercedes G Wagon 2 door! INCREDIBLE condition, looks, runs, and feels new!
Description
Stunning Mercedes G-Wagon 2 door! Ultra Rare 300GD!
The ultimate head-turner, unlike anything else on the road!
Up for sale's a 1986 Land Rover that easily passes for a 2013+ model. The amount of attention it receives is incredible, you feel like a rockstar behind the wheel. EVERYONE stops to take photos, ask you questions, give you thumbs up in traffic, etc.
Imported from the dry Italian climate, this left-hand drive model's a rare, rust-free example that's well looked after. Car was originally sold/owned in Monaco, where it spent most of its life. Unlike most right-hand drive cars from the UK (or elsewhere), this one hasn't seen a hard life out in the elements. No road salt, snow, or other issues to give it problems.
A tremendous amount of time, energy, and money was spent maintaining/restoring this truck. The previous owners gave it lots of love and it shows – the pictures speak for themselves. It's retained its stock look and feel, with absolutely zero modifications (aside from the Alpine head unit).
The vehicle's been documented by the Historical Car Association of Italy, paperwork is included with the sale. It recently had a complete service/inspection at Mercedes.
Condition remarks
I'll try my best to accurately describe the plusses and minuses. Please contact me if you need any clarification, additional photos, or other information!
Engine: Starts up instantly every time. Runs very strong with plenty of torque. Temperature's stable doing 70mph or just sitting in traffic, even in scorching hot South Florida weather. Absolutely zero overheating issues. The diesel motor's properly tuned, and doesn't smoke.
Transmission: Clutch has plenty of life, holds very strong, and engages smoothly. There are zero issues shifting into any gear, the lever feels tight. Goes into Hi/Lo perfectly, both front/rear differental locks work flawlessly.
Interior: dash, centre binnacle, steering wheel, etc. are original and in excellent condition. The seats are virtually flawless. Door cards are in excellent condition, and the windows/locks operate smoothly.
Paint: Original factory paint! The truck shines like new, as it's always been garaged. There are a couple small imperfections (bubbling from oxidation), but nothing major. There's a small ding on the driver's side door, aside from that no issues.
Wheels: in perfect condition with brand new tyres. The steering responsive, the car tracks straight down the road, very easy to drive.
Suspension: No strange noises, everything's tight and solid.
Title: clean Florida Title in hand, in my name, ready to transfer to the new owner. No liens, stories or excuses.
Speedometer: shows 6,473 kilometers, or approximately 4,000 miles. This obviously isn't correct, however it's difficult to estimate how far it's been driven. Given the general condition, and originality of the vehicle, I'd estimate this is a VERY low milage example.
Other Notes
The truck's ready to go and doesn't need any work. Drive it as-is without issues.
VIN Number is: WDB46033217045033 (eBay only accepts North American VINs).WDB46033217045033 (eBay only accepts North American VINs).dfdsfLLDVfC8AInsurance's available from any collector car company (Hagerty, Grundy, etc.), along from more traditional names such as GEICO and State Farm. Policies are ridiculously cheap, a tiny fraction of regular car insurance.
Financing's available from Woodside Credit, J.J. Best Banc & Co., LightStream, etc. VERY easy to get this done, all three companies specialise in these types of vehicles. Considering values have been increasing dramatically over the years, this can be a lucrative opportunity (high loan to value ratios and rock bottom interest rates).
Local buyers are welcome to inspect the vehicle in person, or if you're out of town, we'll work with your third-party inspection service.
We can ship this truck anywhere in the world, please contact us for a quote.
