This luxurious model was the last of the hand-built Mercedes. Only 13 cars per week rolled off the production line. Unlike other automobiles, these cars were classics the day they rolled off the production line, and have remained so ever since.

The W111 Coupe was first introduced in 1961 and was considered to be an immediate success. Road & Track magazine said "one of the best-looking body designs to come from any German concern." It is exquisitely proportioned and beautifully designed. Luxurious may very well be an understatement when describing this model!!!!

About the car:

Up for sale is Legendary Classic - rare and highly desirable W111 1964 Mercedes-Benz 220SEb Coupe.

Only 14,173 220SEb Coupe’s were made in the period of 1961-1965!The mechanical fuel injection, disc brakes and other improvements, made it the most sophisticated car on the road.

Today, she is 52 years old, and even after all those years, she still have that beautiful and timeless charm, and with its grace and beauty she will be stopping the local traffic and turning heads for years to come!! For a human being, 52 years is a good amount of time, but to an automobile it’s an eternity! The ravages of time aren’t just from nature. Tastes change, trends die, and once-envied designs have a way of looking absurd. Once in a while though, an automobile endures despite all this, and ultimately, becomes a classic.This Mercedes is that vehicle, and it is perfect example of the timeless German luxury automobile!

Its previous owner drove this beauty until early 2000’s, when he parked it into the storage due to his health issues.

Engine spins freely, and will crank under battery power (Please see the Video!!!) but as the car hasn’t been started or driven since the last decade, it will more than likely need full tune-up, fuel tank and fuel lines clean up and some TLC before it is started again. We are selling it as a Non-Runner, but the car does roll, steer, and brakes without any problems.

Car was painted, and interior re-done in Velour material back in the 1990’s when the gentleman acquired the car. Original color of this beauty is White (paint code 050). Paint looks good from few feet away and its nice and presentable, but upon closer inspection you can notice some small imperfections in it.

From whichever angle you look at this car, you are always struck by its racy elegance and aesthetic balance of stylistic elements. Doors open and shut nicely and tightly, and the body is nice and straight. Chrome is all compete, and all glass is nice and clear. Original windshield does have a crack in it from the car being stored.

Undercarriage is original and unmolested. For the most part floors are good and solid. There are some common isolated rust issues from the car being stored (please see pictures!)

-Interior

Interior is complete down to its original Kienzle Clock, and the radio but it is showing its aged patina. It can still be of some service in AS-IS condition, or refurbished back into original leather for that luxurious and the car show look!

It also comes with rare Kuhlmeister Air Conditioning!

This Mercedes is perfect candidate for restoration, as its all complete and it will only continue to appreciate in its value, as these cars are harder and harder to come by.

Prices of W111 Convertibles are already skyrocketing, with fully restored models already in $80,000-$100,000 range, and Coupes started slowly to follow!
