1982 Mercedes 500SL W107 one owner only 119k miles CA car with records

Today i am selling a very rare find . This car belongs to a friend of mine and i am helping her out with selling the Mercedes . Her and her husband bought this 500SL new in 1982 . They picked it up in Germany and brought it with them to California afterwards. Her husband recently passed away and she does not have use for a second car. This SL has always been garaged and pampered and it shows. The first few years it was serviced at the dealer under warranty and the last many years by an independent Mercedes only shop here on the Westside of Los Angeles. I have been going to the same place "Stepke Imports" for 30 years now and they really kno, what they are doing.I do have the books and the service records.It still even has the original blue CA license plates from 1982. ( even though they are private plates and will not be part of the sale) This car was finished in "Light Ivory" ( MB color code 623) with Palomino color leather interior. The paint is still in amazing condition and shines like on a much newer car. It is hard to believ, that this Mercedes is already 37 years old. The chrome is in wonderful condition as well. The interior is clean. There are no rips or tears in the seats and the leather is still sof, as the many pictures will show. Even the original dashboard is still in perfect condition without any cracks. This car comes with a hard top and a soft top and they are both in good shape. This classic Mercedes really sticks out and i did get several thumbs up the last couple of days driving it. But the best thing is the way it drives. The European version 500SL had a bit more horsepower than the larger 560SL which were sold here in the states and they are a bit faster as well. This Mercedes has lots of power and really just wants to go all the time . The transmission shifts smooth through all the gears and it is a true pleasure to drive. Everything works the way it is supposed to including the original radio with the power antenna, the power windows, the power door locks and all the gauges. The car has 198800 kilometers on the odometer which comes to 119k miles. The car is a 1982 model and it shows as such on the CA title and all the VIN numbers in the car. I just had to enter it as a 1980 model for Eba, as they did not want to recognize the European VIN number. But there are pictures of the VIN plates and the proper CA title . There are not many 500SL around and a lot less in this condition.
