You are bidding on a 1989 Mercedes Benz 560 SEC. This car is a very nice ALL ORIGINAL 2 OWNER Car that has not been restored, repainted or in any accidents. This Beautiful example of top quality German engineering has just over 89k original miles!! It retains it original GREEN BLUE POLY Base/Clear paint that has a few minor flaws as would be expected of an original car of this vintage but shines as if it just rolled off of the showroom floor!! There are no clear coat issues as is often the case from sun damage as this car has been GARAGE KEPT it’s entire life. It was originally special ordered directly from Germany and spent its early life in California. Then for the past 27 years it was in Ohio and Illinois but have been told that it saw no winter driving. This is quite evident by the condition of the undercarriage as there is no obvious corrosion. This car has always been owned by a non-smoker and the interior and ash tray are evidence of this as there is NO smell or discoloration of the interior and headliner and the ash tray is as clean and new as the day it was sold to the first owner. The interior is in nice condition, for a 30 year old car, and shows little wear including the original floor mats as you can see in the pics. The wood veneers are in great condition and show no fading. It retains its original factory stereo system with cassette tape deck.

The engine and drivetrain in this car run and operate as smoothly and powerfully as it did when it left the factory. It has been properly maintained and comes with the factory Mercedes Maintenance book that shows all of the maintenance that has been done on this car since it was brand new!! Included in this maintenance is the replacement of the timing chain guides with upgraded guides, which is a known issue with these engines, at a $2500 servicing cost and includes a new front engine crankshaft oil seal. The transmission has been recently serviced as well as all of the brake systems have been rebuilt, radiator has been replaced, cooling system completely flushed and an OEM Mercedes Battery was recently installed. Each time this car was serviced there was an entry made in the Maintenance Book and was stamped by an authorized Mercedes Benz Service Center or Dealership. The car drives very smoothly and comfortably and handles like a cat!! Over $4000 has been spent recently, including the above mentioned engine service, to make sure that there are no issues with the function of any of the subsystems onboard.There are (3) original keys and a detailed stamped Maintenance Book that go with this car!! This car is ready to drive anywhere and without any worries or concerns!!
