1957 Mercedes 190 SL
Description
190SL Numbers matching with build sheet and documentation to show (doesn't have solex carbs). soft top, 4 speed, new tires. Looks amazing.
When I purchased this 1957 Mercedes 190SL, it had sat in storage for nearly 20 years. To get the car going, I rebuilt the brakes, including relined shoes and turned drums, rebuilt master cylinder, removed and cleaned out gas tank, new rubbers in fuel pump, removed the undercoating that had been put on the car, rebuilt fuel filter mechanism, new muffler on it and got the car running. I also removed the interior, inspected the floor boards, and put a new padding down. It appears the interior has been redone in the past and the car has been repainted. Original color was ivory.
In addition to getting the car going, I put new white wall tires on the car. I haven't put many miles on the car since getting it going, have driven it to town a few times, overall, it runs good and it stops as you would expect. This is a numbers correct car. The value on these continues to climb and this would make a great investment that you can actually enjoy this summer.
I have too many toys and need to sell. Unfortunately, I can't accept trades. Send me an e-mail and I will respond. Don't waste my time if you can't afford the car or if you are trying to scam me. The car (or title) won't leave my possession until cash is in hand.
No, I don't want to consign the car with you, please don't ask.
