We are huge Merc fans and have takenpainstaking effort to maintain this vehicles garage stored and sheltered life. Recognizing the Indiana zip code we felt it imperative to effectively removing every piece of chrome and detailing from the exterior, matching the factory white mercedes paint while addressing every dent, blemish, scratch or rust spot, returning it to factory soundness from an exterior perspective without altering the factory condition of the interior and drive train of the vehicle. We have pictures of the restoration process that we can share. This exterior update was undertaken with an eye to preserve and protect a factory immaculate interior, dashboard, and drive train.
This vehicle stands as a cold war classic, with its orginal owner's security gate pass still on the front left bumper. Small details stand out like the orginal jack instructions in the boot, its original spare and innertube, jack spot covers, leather lugage straps are all in place. The interior has every piece of the original appointment.
The W111 was a chassis code for a range of Mercedes cars produced between 1959 and 1971. This car was bought new in Germany, and brought over here to the states, and is as original as it gets. All original parts along with factory details including all the original carpeting, green leather interior are intacted, this is not a retoration interior but the handbuilt mercedes original. The paint is all original, the car was dismattled to reveal every trace of surface or fendor rust, taken to metal in effected areas the paint matched to the factory original white with the orignal Mercedes base coat preserved. Everything is operational except the clock. The Becker radio works along with the sunroof. With only a little over 5,000 250 se coupes ever hand constructed made, this car is truly the end of the Mercedes hand built era and it reflects it in every part of its operation. The vehicle rides like a dream and with the concert style appointment from factory, the lights the bumpers, the trim remain an example of Mercedes fanatic attention to quality and style.
We have been working on Mercedes Benz for over 15 years and this is the finest unmolested vehicle we have ever seen. In inspecting hoses, and systems down to the mercedes hose clamps this vehicle has been dealer or factory certified it's entire life. The vehicle is in climate controlled storage and can be viewed by appointment or we can make arrangements to have ti third party inspected by a Mercedes shop or dealership.
Bid with confidence and make her a great home. We are praying that the new owner will give it the care and attention that it has had these last 53 years.
