Description

This is a fun little roadster for summer days.
By no means a show car but straight totally rust free, reliable, and a blast to drive on weekends
Most of the problems common to these SLs have been fixed with this one.
1) The strut caps that are almost always cracked on the SL have been replaced2) The transmission is new (old one had the failure to go into reverse valve body issue common to the SL)3) All of the seals in the convertible top hydraulics have been replace NO LEAKS !4) Complete flushed and filled with water-free coolant to allow safe winter storage. Also all brake fluid flushed and replaced with silicone.5) All of the vacuum and other rubber hoses that commonly become dry and hard on these R129s (including the hard to get butterfly hoses) have been replaced6) New shocks7) Brand new sticky Yokohama tires all around.
Of course no car this old would not have issues and this one has a couple of faults
1) There is a small oil leak at the front main seal. Just a few drips on the garage floor but wanted to mention it.2) There is a current leak that I have not been able to find. I have installed a battery switch but it really should be found and fixed3) Seats, carpets, and wood are tired looking (although better than you might expect for a 92)4) Mirror control switch does not work reliably in the up-down axis (did not want to remove entire center console so unrepaired).
Please consider coming and inspecting the car in person before bidding. I have tried to describe things accurately but I would really rather any potential buyers came and used their own judgement and took a test drive.
