Description

You're looking at a true 1 owner 1990 560 SEL that has been garage kept and well maintained all its life and is 100% all original. The interior is exactly like you see in the photos and was never dyed or tampered with, it's original. The paint is the original factory paint and has plenty of luster left with some minor scratches on the hood and trunk that could easily be wet sanded out. It comes with the original owner's manuals, service coupon book, radio manuals and code card, all the original keys plus extras, and the original tool set that seems like it was never used. The spare as you see in the picture is the original and looks like it was never used or removed. All the glass is original and the car is 100% rust free. This car was the ultimate luxury car of it's time and has front and rear heated seats, and the rear seat is powered to adjust for maximum comfort, comes with foot rests for the rear passengers, and even has 2 different sounding horns one for the city and one for the highway.
Considering that no one has ever smoked in this garage-kept car it's a perfect example of the flagship S class (Sonderklassein German, or special class) . The Mercedes W126 and its iconic chassis is one of the most recognized vehicles in the world. It defined an era of special luxury in the 80s and early 90s. Few luxury vehicles have found such a niche market. Manufactured and assembled in Sindelfingen, Germany, the car reeks of superior engineering, finest appointments, nicetiesand quality rivaled by or second to none. Priced at over $80,000 then, a lot more in today’s devalued dollars, it was the domain of the powerful and the rich. When one gets behind the wheel of the Mercedes 560 SEL, one truly feels spoiled, and has been the target of collectors for some time and prices are gettinghigher by the day.
All features are in good working order even the clock, antenna, and the outside temperature gauge except the left side rear window. The tires are a matching set of Bridgestone Potenza and are in great condition. This car could be a daily driver, the transmission shifts perfectly and smoothly, there are nosqueaksor rattles and it handles great. The owner was an older gentleman and he had a mechanic shop and his employees always attended to anything the car needed. There is dent on the lip of rear left fender above the tire well that you can see in the photo. I welcome any questions you may have and if you need more photos please let me know.
