Mercedes Benz 230 SL "PAGODA"
Description
Beautifull 1966 - 230SL
Strong engine matted to a very smooth automatic transmission.
New parts; high quality Soft top (German canvas), SITGLA windshield,OEM windshield gasket,Ft KYB shocks, door gaskets, weather strips, soft top cover weatherstrip (horseshoe), trunk gasket, gas neck filler grumet, etc, etc.
Just installed today a New Tachometer cable, (GEMO, Germany). All the gauges and lights are working. Also the Windshield wipers. Radio and electric antenna and Clock are not powered, (maybe a fuse or a defective little Fuse Box located on the inner RHS fender that holds two of them), I haven't checked. We'll try my best on Sunday morning. Solid trunk floor,(both sides).
Hard top and lock handles are in very good condition and so does the Headliner and interior wood ornaments.
Nice an original interior. Car is loaded w. the 3rd jump seat.Spare tire and cover is included. I removed it in order to take the pictures. Also the original owner's manual comes with the car.
Good tires, good brakes, good suspension, ft & rear end, etc, etc. Very nice Hub cups and beauty rims. An excellent Driver. More than a nice one... In any case it is not a Show car. The reserve is set at a very reasonable price. From what I saw, this one is the cheapest 230 SL in the entire auction and or listings at a fixed price. Other than that I am very motivated and willing to sell. Sell...not to give it away, OK??
Last weekend I drove the car 120 miles on the Highway, (75 / 80 MPH) and then a couple of hours in downtown. There was absolutely no overheating not a weird noise, nothing but the pleasure of driving under the Florida sun.
If you have any questions please call. As you might understand,I can't state nor willing to, the real mileage or the Odometer reading. You are more than welcome to have the car inspected and test drive it.
Thanks,
William(239) 601-5204
