For a car over 29 years old, this classic has been meticulously maintained both cosmetically and mechanically, which is very important with these vehicles. This vehicle is completely rust free with low88K (that's less than 3,000 miles per year) on this powerful 5.6 liter, 8 cylinder engine. It has been garage stored and was only driven in fair weather. This vehicle has been well cared for. The interior is in great condition and the exterior is in excellent condition. Interior and exterior chrome are in excellent condition as well. There is no rust on the body or on the undercarriage. The photos below show the excellent condition of this vehicle with nothing to hide, but the photos don't do this vehicle justice. It is gorgeous in person, and looks like it did in the showroom in 1987. Drive the car that only a millionaire could afford in 1987, with over a $60,000 dollar sticker price in 87. The Mercedes Dealer Service Maintenance Booklet is stamped up to 67,500 miles, this was in 1992 which was 24 years ago. The vehicle presently has 88,636 k which represents 20,500 miles since 1992. (that's less than a thousand miles a year since 1992.) The soft top is black Hartzcloth (black exterior with tan underside, interior). The exterior paint of the vehicle is red. My camera may have altered some of the color representation of the vehicle's colors but the car is Mercedes Red. The tires on the vehicle are Pirellis 4000's and are in good condition. The stereo has CD capability. The paint work is in excellent condition, as is the chrome. Thecarhas a currentPA Motor Vehicle inspection. The Auto Check report lists a minor issue.It was a non-collision damage incidentthat wasreported by the first owner as scratches on the rearfendergoinginto the garageand that smallarea on that fender was professionally refinished and today shows absolutely no indication of repair.Price reflects this minor issue.Air Conditioning was converted over to 134 (newer refrigerant) and works. Vehicle is also being sold locally and on three other websites and I reserve the right to end auction in the event of early sale.
Auto Check is comparable to CarFax. It shows the vehicle's history and rates the car with a score based on similar vehicles currently for sale. Comparable vehicles of this year and model have a Auto Check Score of 25-45 according to the Auto Check Report. When I purchased the vehicle the Auto Check Score was 47 on the report I ordered. Itis now 45 because of adding my name as third owner. The 2 point drop in score had nothing to do with any change in the vehicles excellent condition. The score is still at the highest end for vehicles of this make and modelcurrently for sale.The Auto Check high endscore for this vehicle indicates its excellent condition and history.
