Fuel gauge and temp gauge do not work. Driver’s side window
regulator does not work. Window goes up and down but you have to move the glass by hand. If you fill the fuel tank all the way it leaks from the filler neck. If you do not fill it more then 3/4 full it does not drip. The radiator is pretty shot. It is drivable but it needs replacement. The tires have good tread. There is no key, instead there is a heavy duty switch under the dash that you use to turn it off and on. There is some rust (I have tried to show in the photos), but it is still a very solid car. The worst rust is in the trunk (see photo). The interior is fair.
Included in the sale is a factory AC compressor. I just had
the alternator rebuilt.
It has been registered in VT for the past 12 years, but most of that time it has been in PEI Canada. Vermont does not title cars of this vintage so it will come with a bill of sale and a copy of previous registration. It was last inspected in 2012.
This car has mostly only been used seasonally, which explains the low miles. It always starts, runs good, goes down the road pretty smoothly, and even stops ok when you push the brake pedal. This old Benz has brought our family a lot of joy. Since we only have been using it a few weeks a year for the past few years it is time to let it go. I am happy to answer any questions.
