I am selling a very rare highly sought after 1989 Mercedes Freightliner FLU10344 High Mobility Material Handler built for the military. This was made by Mercedes-Benz for the Freightliner corporation. These are based on the same model as the 419 Unimog. It was built in 1989 It shows only 866 miles and 10 hours with a 2009 complete government rebuild. These unique pieces can do a variety of jobs in one compact unit. Originally called the High Mobility Material Handling Equipment (HMMHE), the HMMH variant consists of the same basic Unimog Model 419 tractor as the SEE, but in place of the front loader, backhoe and other tools and equipment of the SEE, the HMMH has a 4000 lb. capacity forklift and a 6000 lb. capacity crane as well as a suspension lockout system to retract the front suspension for forklift and crane operations. It has a Mercedes 6 cylinder inline 346 cubic inch diesel that runs strong. Behind that is a 16 speed transmission for all kinds of gear speeds. Top speed rated by the military is 50mph. It also has portal axles with disc brakes. The 4x4 system works great, the front and rear differential will lock together providing true 4 wheel drive. The truck is sitting on Michelin XL 12.5-20 tires. The truck has new batteries in it and is ready to go. All major functions have been tested and work properly. Truck has no visible leaks.
