MERCEDES BENZ 420SEL 65,000 MILES! VERY EXCEPTIONAL COND - ONE OWNER! ME

Why only around 66,000 miles? Only a couple years after I bought this Mercedes I bought a Range Rover SUV due to a new endeavor that required more room. In addition, we found out that this is not really the car we needed for living in the mountains and doing organic farming. It was/is wonderful for taking trips to the West Coast, but not as a daily driver for our purposes. This car has been garaged its whole life. Without fail the car was driven at least every two weeks to keep seals pliable and prevent tires from getting a flat spot. Oil & filter changed every 3,500 miles OR every six months, whichever comes first. Routine maintenance done according to MB recommendations. The car has given me virtually no problems. I had to take it for repair a maximum of 4 times since the day I bought it! I believe that this must be some sort of record. Of course, this did not include oil & filter changes and visits for periodic maintenance. I am sure that car dealers can verify by my vin that this is no exaggeration. Fuel pump relay & shocks were 2 of the visits.
Now, what makes this a very special vehicle. Since this car was not being used the way it was capable of I decided to give it to a close family member who expressed interest in the vehicle. I wanted to gift the car that would not cause any problems I went crazy on replacing items that Mercedes Technicians indicated that a vehicle of this type and history might cause problems. I replaced ALL of the recommendations! I realize that I am giving a great deal of information, but this IS a special car due to the very low mileage and sheltered life it has lead. To provide extra piece of mind for the buyer I took my car to an ASE Certified Technician.He is DirkSpecoviusof Dirk's German Car Repair in Montrose, Colorado. This guy is a true Mercedes Genius and knows Mercedes vehicles as well as his name. He inspected my car and gave a written report attesting to it's road worthinessand condition. A great number of the parts that were replaced were giving NO problems. They were simply changed to give the car more longevity and worry freepeace of mind.
Everyone has heard of Carfax. I had a report generated by a similar company. AutoCheck, a part of Experian, did the report. It also is attached below. Of particular note is the "Score" for this same model vehicle is between 15 and 36. THIS car's score is 70
Me, being a fanatic on maintenance, bought EVERY manual and microfiche MB every made. The box weights over 20 pounds. I honestly don't think that there are more than a few cars like this one...maybe NONE. If you want the microfiche reader that will read the fiche I am speaking about it just ask and I will include it. I include the chauffeurs key and the original 2 regular keys. You also get a round Mercedes display sign that is about 11" in diameter. All fluids will be topped off. The coolant has just been changed and is good to 27 degrees below zero F. You will receive this car with a full tank of gas.

TIRES: The tires have approximately 80% left on them. Wear pattern is perfect. These are extreme performance tires with a super set of specs. The spare tire has never been on the ground. WHEELS: I have the original wheels. I will include them if you want them. CAR COVER: I will include a high end Evolution custom car cover that was made for this car. It is in excellent condition. SHOP MANUALS: Included is EVERY shop manual ever made for this vehicle. Included is a set of microfiche that has the shop manual on them. I do have a small microfiche reader that I used with these cards. If you want it, just tell me and I will include it. The weight of the box of manuals is around 17 pounds. LOTS of information just in case. FLOOR MATS: The original floor mats are included. They are in very good condition. KEYS: Included are two regular keys and two parking attendant keys that only start the car but will not open the trunk or glove box. SOUND SYSTEM: Shown in the photos is the new head unit that has virtually every feature one could want. You can see the model number and check the specs if you wish. The microphone has never been installed because I had no idea where the new owner would want it put.

I was asked a question about how the car started. It always catches and starts instantly. No lagging. No grinding. Even if the car has not been driven for two weeks. The recent top of the line premium battery has a lot to do with that I am sure.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION! I had mentioned all the parts that I had replaced to ensure a no problem car. I forgot to tell which parts had been replaced. I have now listed most of them in a picture in this listing. It is near the end of the picture list. You will see that this was several thousand dollars of work to just make sure that the next owner would not have any problems in these areas. Please look at the list. ( Note: the list has some items with dots around the items. Ignore the dots. Those items WERE installed also. I am no expert with word processing.)
