Description

Previous owner did a complete concourse restoration at a leading Mercedes specialist. She was disassembled, the body had a full frame and body panel restoration. The engine and transmission were rebuilt, a new high end tan top was fitted, bumpers were re-chromed, all instruments were rebuilt, a new tan leather interior was fitted, and the car was painted a beautiful fire-engine red (DB534) as was the original hard top. I have receipts for this work.
I refreshed her in 2014 and 2015 - I am an active member of the 190SL International Group, and my article on my refresh appeared in the Spring 2016 issue. The refresh included new radial Vredestein tires, with the same size as original. A new gel battery with original tar top look and original battery label was put in the car. She was tuned, including proper tuning of original dual Solex carbs. The paint was polished to bring up the beautiful look. The underside of the car was cleaned to show the correct 'Mercedes flat gray' (DB169) with which it left the factory. A new windshield was fitted -- the original was not perfect. See the pictures. I didn't do much, but I wanted her perfect.
Everything works as new, there is no rust, she is a strong driver and could compete in any show. She needs nothing but a new owner who will love the beautiful lines and excellent driving. The original radio, original windup clock, push button windshield washer, and all other electrics work perfectly.
She comes with original Mercedes factory jack and toolkit, original owners manual and owners parts book. She also has the original key set with the Mercedes key fob and a spare set of keys.
All receipts from the restoration and my refresh are in a binder and are included in the sale.
She needs nothing, is kept covered in my garage and has no known flaws. She starts up instantly, runs great, and everyone waves.
100% of payment due within 7 days of buying her, via wire transfer or certified check. Once the money clears I will release the car and sign the title. If you plan to ship the car via transport company, I will assist them in loading it up from my garage.
She can be viewed by appointment in NJ, 30 miles south of NYC. She comes with no warranty of any sort. I have included many pictures, if you bid and win, what you see in the pictures is what you will get, but if you aren't sure, view her in person.
