1984 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Wagon - New Mexico Car with no rust

Description

Very nice car, runs, drives and shifts well. No smoke or cracks in the glass. Previously owned by a Mercedes mechanic who paid for a legal bill with this automobile. Since we have acquired it, we have completely gone through the air conditioning system at a cost of over $1,500, added Thule racks and performed routine maintenance. The car has no rust, having spent the bulk of its life in sunny New Mexico. That sun has done its work to the dash pad, which is now cracked, and the vinyl that lines the door frames, which is either rumpled or missing. It drips a bit of oil and needs a new antenna. The dome light does not work. There are a few character nicks, as shown in the photo, the star is missing from the hood, and the hood has been repainted sometime in the past. The original Benz vinyl seat material in the fronthas been replaced withfabric material in the same color palate. This was a quality job as the center console was also recovered. I provide this information because I want the new owner to know everything I know.
