Soft Top and Hard Top

This is a 1957 Mercedes Benz 190SL. This 190SL comes with both hard top and soft top.This is the typical story; the last owner started this restoration and never finished it, The car was painted, new side moldings, white wall tires, re-chromed front and rear bumpers.Good solid floors.The body appears nice and straight.This is a car that is not running.However, the car was started up a year ago.As you can see in my photographs, It will need to be finished and deserves to be finished.The complete grille is in place, front head lights and chrome rings.Also, the original soft top frame.The car does not come with its original carburetors as seen in the photograph.However, the engine is original with the engine numbers.This is the correct style engine for early 190SL’s with the side cover plate bolted to it.I would say the car is about 95% complete. In terms of the interior, the two front seats were re-upholstered in leather. Original door panels and top door moldings.Mercedes Benz 190SL’s for restoration are almost impossible to locate.This Mercedes Benz 190SL really deserves to be finished. Clear title and ready for Export.
