1974 Mercedes 240D Diesel
Great Car
Very clean car
Includes owners book and chassis info on cd.
Interior is in good condition with above average condition in most spots. Few very minor cracks but overall very good.
Headliner is nearly perfect doesn't sag at all
Exterior is good to fair condition. Has a few tiny hail dents but not very bad. 95% of body is incredibly good, in some spots are tiny bits of rust. For a 1974 model it's as expected.
Overall the exterior is very good. A great looking car.
Tires are extremely good as are the hubcaps.
Engine runs good and cruises at 75-85 very easily. Being an automatic diesel of this year makes it slow on acceleration just by nature, but can really run out great when cruising on the open road.
Radio is awesome. Undercarriage is clean and coated with black undercoat.
This car is a driver and noticeably incredibly nice. It gets tons of attention. It's by no means a junky fixer upper, it's the real deal. Small details make the car, the brake and gas pedals show nearly no wear. It's a peach of a car.
The bad: Weak reverse. The reverse is weak. I back it outta my driveway all the time, at grocery, etc. But it is weak and won't back up a hill. This can often be adjusted out, but I haven't attempted that as my driveway is down hill and it doesn't bother me.
A great car. I don't foresee any troubles and would drive it hundreds of miles.
