Description

This is a 1973 Cougar XR-7 convertible this was the last year of the Cougar convertible and the most collectible of the 71-73 series . This is a nice loaded Car it originally started out in southern California but. I bought from a guy up in the high Nevadadesert its a very solid rust free desert car, its loaded with options. The car has a 351-C 2 barrel engin, automatic transmissio, Power steerin, Power disk brakes, air conditioning,.power windows, Power drivers sea, Tilt steering whee, AM/FM stereo radio, Intermittent windshieldwipers an, tintedglass. The XR-7 models came with the dash gauge package and deluxe leather interior . The condition of the car is as follows it was originallya white car with white leather interior and green appointments somewhere along the line the car was painted red and the green interior trim parts were also painted red . As you can see from the photosthe interior is weathered and needs restoration .I justspent 2 thousand dollars and had the carburetorrebuilt and the back brakes redone along with a brake system flush . Just got the car back from theupholsteryshop and had a brand new White convertible top put on ,with a glass back window, new top pads and new top back well liner installed . The car runs decent but could use a good tune up engine has lots of power engine runs very cool with no overheatingissues . i drove this car on the freeway for 30 miles and it ran good Tires hold air but need to be replaced for safe driving There is a small dent in the right rear quarter topside as seen in photo. The odometer shows 66,000 K miles but not sure if its original . I am enclosinga real nice whitepassenger seat and the frontsplashgrill panel along with a dashwood grainbezel. The dash pod lens are missing my guess is they were cloudy so they were removed everything seems to work the power seat is slow needs lube job the power top works well . The air conditioning does not work and needs service there is a jack in the truck but no spare tire . These cars were well built and very heavy and are getting harder to find These cars have really gone up in value and are a good investment .I am selling this car as a restoration project i have too many projects and need to sell this car it is being sold AS-IS where is buyer is responsiblefor pick any questions please feel free to ask this car is registered in the state of California and has a cleartitlewith my name on it Only US sales .You can'tfind a rust free body for the price i am asking on this car
