Clear California title, California rust-free car (see pictures). SUPERCHARGED 1964 2 door Mercury Comet powered by a small block Ford with a straight-axle. Quick car with the beautiful lines of the 64 Ford/Mercury body style. Never raced, but is a ton of fun on the street! A lot of receipts and records for parts.Exterior/Body2 door post Mercury Comet painted semi-metallic Zenith gold (House of Kolor). Fiberglass teardrop hood w/ rear vents and fiberglass front fenders. Rear wheel wells opened 2" to fit 28" slicks. Orange plexiglass side windows for lighter weight and authenticity of the 60's.Stock rear bumper. Ford Falcon front bumper with holes drilled for weight.Original trim holes are filled in the body. No rust or rot in doors or fenders.Engine/Powertrain5.0L 302 small block Ford with a medium build for horsepower and durability. Aggressive idle camshaft, roller rockers, high clearance aluminum valve covers, valves, double springs, pistons, head bolts, high rise aluminum intake manifold, carburetor collection box with two(2) 4 barrel carbs (600 cfm). Collection box leads to a B&M rebuilt w/ receipts) with modern blow off valve boosting 10-12PSI. Large capacity oil pan and PCV evacuation system for increased power. MSD ignition, MSD Billet Distributor, MSD coil for improved combustion performance.Cooled with a new 3 core radiator and dual electric fans (hooked to manual switch) w/ shroud (receipt).Transmission is Ford C4 automatic 3 speed. Light performance build with servos and shift kit. High stall torque converter. Fluid is red and as clean and beautiful as can be.High Flow Holley Blue fuel pump connected with a manual switch.Standard style headers with 2 ½" diameter exhaust. Muffles ending at the rear axle.Suspension & WheelsRear suspension is a narrowed 9" Ford rear on leaf springs with traction bars. Factory disk brakes. 4.11 gears with a standard 3rd member to make easier to drive. 15" steely rims in the rear with 7" wide by 28" diameter Hurst recap cheater slick (about 3/8" of slick depth left). Common setup used in the 60'sFront suspension is on a Speedway straight axle with 2" drop and parallel leaf springs and disk brakes. Adjustable 90/10 shocks absorbers. 15" American Racing mag style aluminum rims with Firestone tires pie cut tires. Front end axle is altered forward 4".InteriorInterior is all gold/tan/brown colored:Driver and passenger bucket seats with vinyl covering; rear seats are deleted. 2-point lap seat belts. Nostalgic style roll bar with padding and vintage fire extinguisher. Beautiful factory style headline. Interior floor is sound and heat insulated for comfort. Includes passenger and driver floor mats.15" diameter 3 spoke steering wheel. Moon styled gas pedal Gauges: Auto Meter Engine oil pressure, fuel level, water temperature, volts, and boost.
