1967 Mercury Parklane convertible
Description
1967 full size Mercury Parklane convertible. Solid car owned since 1974 by the same family. Has minor surface rust in trunk and floor panels and some spots on trunk upper deck and lower body shown in the photos, but very solid. Is a great driver condition car but could be upgraded with new interior and paint. Glass window in the back but top should be replaced. Top goes up and down just fine. Has the 410 cubic inch V-8 engine (unique to the 1966-1967 Mercury Parklane) with a 4 barrel carburetor and dual exhaust. Motor was professionally rebuilt in 2005 with 4300 miles on it since. Has been garaged a good amount of its life. Has power steering, power disc brakes, power windows (including wing windows) and all work well except driver's rear needs a bit of help getting up. Has power seat and antenna but not working. Original radio not working. All lights and turn signals brake lights etc. work properly. Motor runs strong and transmission shifts smoothly. Rear seal on tranny has a minor leak from lack of use. Full size spare tire and original jack. Tires are fair. Interior has minor tears and some stains, is serviceable but should be replaced. Paint has some parade markings that do not rub out and do not show up in the photos. Some bondo in spots and car needs to be repainted. Body side molding (trim) is off the car and is complete less one piece and needs to be repaired or replaced. Bumpers are in good condition but could stand to be re chromed. All the glass on the car is in good condition. Car has been driven to the beach and car shows up to 100 miles away with no problem. Car was in a minor fender bender in the 1980's and the right front fender and hood were replaced with parts from a 1967 Monterrey. Would love to see this car go to someone who will enjoy it as we have or bring it to the next level. Call or text 503.880.4212 Hmagic2@aol.com Mike/Paul
