Clean 1972 Mercury Grand Marquis Driver
Description
I am selling my 1972 Mercury Grand Marquis. This car has been in the family since it was new and was recently freshened up with a new gas tank, sending unit, Edlebrock 600, factory style fuel pump, oil change, coolant flush, distributor, plugs, wires and a once over of the brakes to make sure things were safe. The car runs and drives great but does need some TLC. Everything other than what I have listed is factory on the car including the A/C and most everything is in great shape for a 45 year old car with 58,649 miles on it. The paint, trim, chrome and most of the top are in good condition; however, there are two spots where the vinyl top is seamed and some minor rust under the rocker panels and rear bumper which I have shown in the pictures. I have driven the car several times with no issues regarding drive-ability, starts easy, the 429 accelerates great, corners and stops nicely. The main negatives with the car is that the heater core has been bypassed but it can be accessed through the engine bay due to the heater box being external. The driver front window and passenger rear window do not function up/down, the motors run which you can clearly hear but no up/down action. Lastly I would suggest new tires if the car was to be driven long distance or daily. I just have too many projects and not enough time so we are moving the car in hopes of someone getting to enjoy another great old luxury car. The interior of the car is nearly flawless and is incredibly comfortable. This car would make an awesome cruiser with a little TLC. I have plenty more pictures of the car which I can send just contact me through eBay and I will see what I can do, same with questions do not be afraid to ask I will tell you all that I know about the car. Sold as is and must be picked up within 7 days of purchase. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
