Description

Beautifully restored 65 Comet Cyclone with the impressive modifications Ford should have used to begin with:
Rod and Customs' front end kit to remove shock towers and use the rack and pinion setup for the FE motor and disc brakes. Frames are tied and uses a Cal Trac style traction setup for the powder coated 9 inch with Ford original Trac Loc posi 3.50 gears and Moser 31 spline axles.
Big input close ratio Toploader 4 speed with Hurst shifter.
Custom headers w/dumps have been Jet Hotted.
Except for the custom 'teardrop' hood it looks like the ultimate 'street sleeper', hub caps and the old style Ford 'v8' emblem. Really clean car.
Everything is new or rebuilt.
Complete new interior, seats, carpet, headliner, dash pad, arm rests, window belt lines, console, moldings, glass.
Rust free body, all steel except for the fiberglass 'tear drop'. Rear mounted battery.
Fresh .030 Speed-pro pistons 10.5:1 390, balanced, .520" hydraulic cam, chrome 'Merc' valve covers, BER ported aluminum heads with a factory 'Tunnel Wedge' intake and correct C5AE twin carbs, 'Hollman Moody' air cleaner, (top end alone is worth 10K).
12" clutch and pressure plate, scattershield, hi-torq gear reduction starter. 3" stainless exhaust. Custom brass 4 core radiator. All accessories hooked up and working.
Too many items to list, over 60K invested. Single biggest expense was the Tunnel Wedge 390 engine which I would gladly keep if someone wants a roller.
