This Montego is by far the cleanest example we have ever seen. The odometer shows only 45k, the previous owner reported it as original but did not have documentation to support it. Take a good look at the details such as original tie rod ends, power steering hoses, brake & gas pedal wear, interior condition and it makes the claim very solid.

The paint on this car is an extremely nice, restoration quality repaint. A close inspection indicates this car has not been in any obvious collisions of any kind. The factory seams and body lines are crisp and correct. The moldings are also very clean and impressive. Bumpers are gorgeous. Even the glass shines like new!

Inside, the interior is extremely impressive. The seats have excellent support, upholstery still fits tight, just a very clean & impressive car. The headliner is clean and fits just right. Components like the AM/FM radio are still present and look great.

Under the hood, the Numbers Matching 360 Horsepower 429 Thunder-Jet still appears like its 1970. The only obvious change is the carburetor, but the original is included in the trunk. The 429 fires up quickly and sounds great with the Flowmaster equipped exhaust. This engine is throaty with tons of low end torque. The original color coded vacuum hoses, clamps and brackets are in place. The original radiator with its extremely hard to find fiber fan-shroud still keep things cool.

The A/C system is complete and was serviced just prior to the car being stored several years ago. The charge is weak now so do plan on a service.

The undercarriage on this car is AMAZING. The factory paint on the pans is still very nice. The seams are all crisp and there is no sign of rust beyond some very minor surface rust. Take a good look at the pictures and the 45k original seems very believable.

Inside the trunk is extremely impressive with its original paint still shiny and undisturbed. Not a hint of rust was found in here either. The factory jack and what appears to be the original spare tire are still in place. The factory wiring back here looks like it was put in yesterday and the rose colored factory tail light buckets are near perfect.
