1955 Mercury Montclair kustom taildragger project BBF 429 C6 disks much more
Description
Ever have one of those project cars that just never seems to get anywhere? Here is mine, and it could be yours. Ive owned this for a bunch of years. Bought it a few years ago from a dude who said he got it out of a barn. He stalled on the project and I thought, man I will have this thing on the road in a couple weekends. Well my girlfriend brought to my attention I had a "few details" to get done and get it on the road in October....2015. Soooo....anywho, I think this originally had a 292 (I suspect) but had a 302/c4 in it when I got it. I replaced that with a 1969 Ford 429/C6. New radiator, GM alternator, disk brakes, tons of other stuff. Floors are rock solid, as is trunk floor (which usually rot on these) Car has been nosed, decked, most of the old kustom tricks. 41 Lincoln buttons installed but stay with me, they were my deceased uncles...he gave them to me as a gift. The car has some filler in it but its very presentable, no big rot holes. The car starts runs and drives, but stumbles (sounds like a vacuum leak). Its stored in Jackson NJ and has an old school NJ title. Interior is all there but seats are just wire frames. I really dont need to sell this but I would like to see someone take it the rest of the way. Email me any questions or if phone works better, send your name and number and I will call you. NOTE...THIS IS LISTED LOCALLY AS WELL SO IT MAY BE REMOVED AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO AUCTION END. Thanks.
