1970 Mercury Cougar Convertible XR-7
Description
True 1970 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Convertible in Triple Black. Very rare, cool and hard to find car! Super nice driver. Rare M code 351 Cleveland, 4-bbl, Floor shift FMX Merc-o-matic 3 spd Auto, Ford 9" 3.00:1 Traction-Lok rear. Options: PS, PDB, AC, PW, P-Top with Split-Glass-Backlite window, Tinted glass, Factory Tach, Wood grain dash, Center console, Wood grain steering wheel, Sony aftermarket AM-FM-CD stereo, Front and Rear Sway bars. Have the Marti-Report. Originally came from the factory Dark Forest Green Metallic paint and Ginger interior (looks better in Black). Has headers and Gibbs dual exhaust, very throaty. Has BF Goodrich Radial T/A P215-65-R15s sitting on 15x8.5 Torque Thrust II Racing rims. Faults at this time but don't bother me: PW are slow and temperamental, 14,978 miles show on MA Title but should be TMU (True Miles Unknown as with most of these older cars). AC works but needs charging. I do not have the original factory wheels, carb/intake manifold or exhaust manifolds. This car has lots of power, handles great (no squeaks, rattles or rolls), sounds terrific and gets lot of attention! Please understand this is a 47 year old car and is no trailer queen but a quality driver that gets noticed. It's a cool old school classic. No rush to sell. Thank You... Price $23,000
