Description

This is an extremely rare 1951 Mercury M6 2 ton Farm Truck with a dumping bed. It is all original, to include the engine. There are just under 38,000 original miles on this truck, with approximately 5000 miles driven since the engine was overhauled.I have removed the Hydraulic jack that raises and lowers the bed when I took this truck on a cross country trip. This trip went from Abilene, TX to just outside of Chicago, IL and then onto San Diego following route 66 during an MVPA convoy, then back home to Abilene. At no time did I have any mechanical issues during this trip and it was not trailer-ed any any point either. Some things of note, I added an overdrive transmission box which allowed me to be able to drive it at a sustained 60 MPH while obtaining about 11 MPG. It still runs on the original 6 volt system, however, I did add an inverter to make the cigarette outlet 12V to charge phones and power GPS systems. The hydraulic ram for tipping the bed has been fully reconditioned and will come with the truck, however the hydraulic lines for it to work will need to be made. This truck has a clean and clear title and I am happy to help make shipping arrangements anywhere in the world. It is in my possession, so any additional photos wanted can be sent, just ask for a specific angle and I will get it for you. This Truck is listed elsewhere and this listing can be removed at anytime.Mike O Spitfire at G mail dot com
