1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 347 Stroker Black on Red Cali Car Cooler Than a Mustang
Description
The 347 Stroker crate engine in this 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 has a tastefully tuned cam with a rumpty-rump that sounds so awesome! This car came with a DVD of photos and a video of the engine build in this very car when it was done in 2011 (and only a few thousand miles ago). This locally owned car had lived in California until the mid-2000s and was traded in here by local car enthusiast. Absolutely NO RUST anywhere that we have found. Extremely solid, West Coast survivor. The classic black over red scheme of this car is original per the research done by the last owner using the data tag. The exterior has been repainted to a very high standard at some point in its life and the red interior is in very good condition showing minimal wear. This car has some cool features such as the sequential turn signals, functioning flip up headlights, and a tilt steering wheel. We do know the heater was bypassed so if you want the heater to work, you will need to route the hoses properly.
We do have a video posted on a very well known video website that takes you on a tour of the video. Search 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 For Sale $19999. Since the making of the video we have put on a new belt that fits properly so it does not chirp as it does in the video.
