78 bobcat rebadged pinto
Description
Owned project since 2014. Have replaced door seals, hatchback struts, gas cap, Holly carb and fresh choke pull out and fuel filter, steering rag joint, heater core and radiator and hoses and clamps, spare tire, thermostat and gasket. It has a fresh rebuild with about 300 miles with Ranger cam, plugs and wires, fuel pump, water pump, oil pump, starter relay, ignition module, coil. Fresh Oil and antifreeze.
Still needs body work. It has surface rust that can be sanded off. Only visible and major rust damage is under the doors as pictured. Little hail damage slightly on hood. There looks to be a small area of bondo on the rear driver side quarter above the wheel well pictured where the paint is cracking. Gear Shifter is loose, but I have the part to make it tight; however, the plastic part over the trani is glued on. The only way to take it off is to break it. So a replacement part is needed first. Even though it is loose, it is driveable the way it is. It does not start on the first couple of attempts, and seems to have a vacuum issue. Placing a cover or a hand over the choke helps it to start.
I have some old red and black Mustang seat covers for it. They are not an exact fit, but still look nice and add to the comfort. I have a two piece black mat on order that goes over the spare tire. Air pump has a noise. Driver side windshield does not roll down. Fan seems to work only on high. Comes with extra parts.
Other than that everything else is minor. No rips or tears on interior. All lights work, windshield wipers work, horn works, seat belts work, and Kraco stereo cassette works. Cigarette lighter does not work. Tires are good. And from what I understand I am the 3rd registered owner. This car sat for a long time; thus, all the above maintenance. Scammers will be reported.
