1965 Merury Comet "Comchero"

Description

I bought this back in 2000 with the intent of restoring and using it as a shop truck but never got around the restoration. The previous owner did a neat conversion using a 2 door sedan and a Chevy LUV truck box rather than cutting down a station wagon. There is rust over the rear wheels and a couple of spots on the floor. The drivers door has some damage but we are including another door with the vehicle.It has the 289 with a 3 speed manual transmission. There is a full set of Magnum 500's on it. The motor turns free but due to old stale fuel, I have not nor will I try to start it but it did run good when parked. The VIN tag on the door is missing but the VIN on the fender matches the one on the title. Obviously, the body work will need to be redone but the hard part of fitting the box to the car has been done. There is even a pseudo tailgate! Because the weather is so "iffy" at this time of the year, I will store it till April providing the car is paid for in full.
