1966 Mercury Comet Fastback 2 Door Hardtop V8 289Perfect candidate for Cyclone
Up for sale is a 1966 Mercury Comet 289 V8 Two Door Hard Top, exactly like its bigger brother the ”Cyclone” except without the 390 V8. could make a nice muscle car replica. This car has been in the family since brand new, and was always in Southern California. Still sports it's CALIFORNIA. Black plates proudly. Vary complete car just needing upholstery work. Car has vary minor rust just in the common areas near the rear bottom of quarter panel (See picture). Floors, frame rails and trunk is vary solid with no rust at all.. This Merc had a lot of potential for making it a nice cruiser with factory air conditioning! It was repainted a few years ago then parked after fuel pump failed. The original 289 V8 will start right up with the help of starting fluid and battery. We drained the gas tank and put a new voltage regulator in it. I am selling it as is, where it is, and don't have any time or money to put in it. I have a clean Ca. title and bill of sale in hand. ready to go for new buyer.
