Up for sale is the Beautiful and Rare 1972 Mercury Cougar Xr7 Coupe. It is a 2 owner car since new and came from a Collection in New jersey. The car was stored in a Climate controlled building and never seen a winter. This car is 100 % Original and truly in exceptional condition. It's a Numbers matching car with a 351 Cleveland 2 Barrel and a C 6 automatic transmission and a Stock for 9 inch rear end. Factory Ac allows you to drive the car in any climate.
The paint is the Original color but was repainted 2 years ago. The paint is very glossy and it looks excellent. No Major imperfections . No dent's No scratches. The body is super straight and the doors close with ease. The Vinyl roof is Original and in excellent condition. The Front bumper is in great condition and the rear is starting to show some age The under carriage is in excellent condition. The car is as solid as they get. No rust on the floors or fame. The suspension all looks excellent . The trunk is also solid and looks excellent .
The interior is stunning The seats are plaid and look new. They are super comfortable and make this car truly Unique. The headliner is amazing as is the carpet. Door panels are excellent as is the Dash and all the trim. Not much to say other then the Interior looks like new and has no Odors or smells.

Mechanically she is awesome. I wanted to make this Cougar growl from it's Original state so here is what was just done. I installed a new Edelbrock Performer manifold with a 600 cfm Carb with electronic choke . I also did the Exhaust. It has Brand New Dual's from front to back with New Flow Master mufflers and its sounds awesome. When we took off the Original manifold I decided to service the car. It has New Valve seals and everything is clean and Adjusted. New gasket's and new Ignition coi, plus and wires .The brake are excellent and like new . new 17x9 torque thrust wheels in the rear and 17x7 's in the front . I think it gave the car an amazing look to complete the performance that was added i drove this car every day and I have to say its amazing. It hold the road very well and is so fun to drive and sounds amazing. The car turns a lot of heads and just screams out 70's Class. I would drive this car daily and have no worries in doing so. The New owner will be very happy and have a car you can show and be proud of.
