Description

1967 Cougar XR7.This car was ordered as a 390 S-code 4 speed car as per the Marti report. This car has new paint in the original color of Sage Gold, the body was taken down to bare metal prior to paint and primer. The vinyl top is very nice. The engine, transmission and 9" rear end have been rebuilt. It has new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and the flywheel has been turned. It has a new driveline and U-joints.The rear leaf springs, shackles, bushings and bolts are new.The front coil springs, upper and lower control arms, wheel bearings, tie rod ends and bushings are new. It has new brake pads and calipers for the front disc brakes, it has new rear brake pads and wheel cylinders and a new brake proportioning valve. I don't believe the engine bock is the original one, but it does have GT heads, exhaust manifolds, intake manifold and the Holley 4 barrel. The transmission is a RUG M-1.The rear end is not the original but is out of a 1967 390 S-code Cougar, the gear ratio is 3.50 and is limited slip. The exhaust system is the original style with resonators and transverse mounted muffler with dual exhaust. It has wire spoke hubcaps, new tires inc. a spare tire and a correct jack and lug wrench. It has a solid state rear turn signal unit for the sequential tail lights, the headlights are the original vacuum operated style. It has replated front bumpe, rear bumper and front bumperettes, new ext. remote mirror, new ext. door handles. The weatherstrip for the hood, trunk, doors and engine compartment is new. This car runs, drives and stops nice. The interior is in good condition, the seats are vinyl not the original leather. The carpet and headliner are in good shape. All the gauges appear to work. The clock works as does the cigarette lighter and interior lights..The dash is not cracked but does have a spot above the glove box where the vinyl has come loose on the edge. The radio does not work. The drivers side rear quarter window needs new rollers. This is a 50 year old car and as such is not perfect but it in very nice condition.I am sure I have forgot some items that have been installed. Please message me with any questions or for more pics. Thanks
