Description

We have for your consideration this 1977 Mercury Marquis Brougham in gorgeous condition. This was obtained a few months ago from the estate of the original owner. We had some fun with it over the summer and now it is time to sell it to somebody else. This beautiful car only has 30,9xx original miles on it! Stored in a heated garage its entire life. We gave it a brand new battery, tune up, brand new coil, brand new 3 core radiator (originally had the 3 core radiator option as well) and serviced the fuel system. The car runs and drives wonderful. I am not sure how old the tires are but they hold air and have tread. If you are going to drive it regularly or across this beautiful country of ours I would suggest new ones as we do not know their age. The car features the 6.6 liter 400 cubic inch engine as well as the heavy duty C-6 automatic transmission. The car is 100% original other than those new parts I mentioned. The air conditioning needs a charge and the fuel gauge only works when it wants to (I believe the float sticks). The analog clock does not work. The power antenna works. The car does not smoke or leak. Zero rust and it has never had any bodywork. Please note that my camera phone is not of high quality and the interior pictures did not come out very well. The car looks far better in person!!! Gale Jo inspected it back in 77'. I know this because the car is so clean the inspection stamp is still perfect under the deck lid. The original owner installed a CB radio that can be removed very easily. I opted to leave it in. The antenna for it is a magnetic base style. I have never taken it off of the deck lid. The car has its original owners manual and CB radio manual. The original vinyl top and headliner are in perfect condition. There is one imperfection on the trim of the drivers door. You can see in one of the pictures it has a very slight crack in one spot. The rest of this car is all original. A true survivor that should have no problem rising in value over the next few years if kept in this condition. It is a pleasure to drive and enjoy though. The car is located for a preview and pick up after the sale in Holly, Michigan zip code 48442. Local pick up only unless you arrange and pay for your own shipping. Your shipper must be bonded and insured. Also, once the vehicle is picked up from our possession, we are no longer responsible for it in any way or fashion.
