Description

This is an ORIGINAL time capsule car pulled out of the second owner's garage. Car has not been on the road since 1975. Still wearing the IL plate from '75. Car DOES have some rust from sitting on the garage floor for all these years. Look at the pictures. The car has been gone through and in the interest of safety and mobility been refurbished. Car runs and drives. That being said...It wears ancient tires that are very flat-spotted so towing is a must.
I installed a complete new braking system. I also installed a completely new fuel system. The original carburetor has been rebuilt. The engine has been taken out, gone through and re-gasketed. I put a new timing chain set on and the engine had the assembly re-installed. I have all receipts for every dollar spent. Tons of cleaning with no repainting! I had the flywheel resurfaced and re-assembled the trans with new rubber lever bushings. I added the modern spin on oil filter adapter as well. New battery with cables. Original starter still cranks the engine as well as the generator. That works with a new voltage regulator.
The interior is ALL ORIGINAL except for the carpet. My god that old carpet stunk so bad like mouse droppings it couldn't be saved (the underlayment) I removed the front seat cover and installed new foam to hold its shape. All of the glass is incredibly clear and undamaged. BUT....there is a "chip or round chunk" out of the driver's front door glass at the very top. This is almost covered when the window is up.
New "FORD-MOTORCRAFT" spark plugs and wires. New "ignitor" electronic ignition conversion with coil too. I know I am missing some things so I will update if they come to me. Nothing has been repainted. That is the original white roof and black paint! Most of my time has been dedicated to cleaning!! Thanks for viewing
