Description

1948 Mercury WagonWON BEST IN SHOW MAY SHOW MAY 4REDUCED TO $82,500
1948 Mercury 89M Woodie Wagon. This is a very rare automobile as it is 1 of 1889 manufactured. it's original flathead V8 that has been completely rebuilt and runs as new. The Mercury Flathead has a true 100 horsepower as compared to 90-95 for the Ford. It also has a longer 118 inch wheel base. The car was frame up restored in 2014 and is stunning. All of the wood, fenders, and hood were removed. Floors, fire wall and the engine bay were all sand blasted prior to painting. All of the interior wood of the roof was replaced with new maple. The rest of the wood on the car is nearly all original and beautiful. The restoration took over a year and a half to complete. The car runs, drives, and stops as it should. The Woodie completed the Great Race in June-July 2017. This was a 2300 mile run and we experienced no complications. We use the car for shows and club events. This lovely car has won many awards and gets lots of attention anywhere it travels.I am listing this car for my friend/neighbor Dave.
