73 Mercury Montego GT Classic Muscle Car RIDES, DRIVES Great Restoration Project. Up for auctionis this essentially original 1973 Mercury Montego GT w/LOW MILES (Ford's sister car to the popular Gran Torino) This car rides and drives! 87,000 miles, pretty much original everything. ORIGINAL Ford chrome "rally" wheels, side "vent" trim, chrome in exceptional condition. This car DOES NOT have a vinyl top therefore there are no holes where the vinyl top separator moldings would normally be. Most of the paint is original or worn away to a brown patina which is consistent with a 46 year old ORIGINAL vehicle! Optional 351 V8, runs strong (302 was standard and a bit small for a heavy car such as this) Back seat and dashboard are in original condition, the majority of significant rust is limited to the right rear quarter panel. This is a perfect MUSCLE CAR RESTORATION PROJECT with 95% of the parts intact (we have been able to locate any of the missing parts (mostly NOS) online already.
