GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1953 Mercury Hot Rod for purchase. Some restomods are pieced together for speed, some are pieced together for style, and then a very rare few have it all. What we're trying to say is that this sled is not just a head turner for car shows. It is a masterfully constructed machine with no expense spared. This Custom 2 door sedan is powered by a 4.6L 32 valve V8 from 1998 Lincoln... Versailles that is paired with an automatic transmission out of the Lincoln Versailles. The car is built on a Dodge Dakota subframe with custom Streeker Classic parts. The rear suspension has NASCAR style long arms with coil springs in the rear. It also has a custom stainless fuel tank with a new sending unit. The 9" rear end came out of a Lincoln Versailles and has 3.07 gears with overdrive. Other highlights include American mag wheels, Magflow exhaust, Cadillac bucket seats with full length console, GM tilt steering column, 1940 Ford steering wheel, power windows, Sony satellite radio, Nostalgic air conditioning with new compressor. The Exterior is finished in PPG Toner Black and has 5 coats of PPG clear. The whole car was lined with Dynamat sound deadening material. Other features include LED tail lights, clear bra on the front, chrome has been re-chromed. The car comes with a large file of receipts for the build. This is an awesome cruiser that you can turn the key and go anywhere with!
