Mockingbird LaneDallas, Texas, 75235Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to showcase this special 1963 Mercury Comet sedan. First of all, this '63 Comet is an absolute pleasure to drive, be sure to check out our video above. With a 2-owner Texas history, this is a true dry climate example and a real "little old lady" car. This Comet was purchased new at Holley Lincoln Mercury in Tyler, Texas on May 23rd, 1963 by Ms. Eva Prestridge who took obvious care to see that the car was cared for. This special Comet base sedan was ordered with the optional "F" code 260 V8, Merc-O-Matic automatic transmission, & factory air conditioning to combat the Texas heat. The mileage of 45,376 is original to the car according to verified owner history. We even have a signed bill of sale stating that the mileage of 41040 is correct to the car when it was sold to the 2nd owner on March 31st, 2010. Since the current owner took possession, the car has had a multitude of mechanical service work done, with a log to verify. The 2nd owner has also been meticulous in care. I have meticulous service details from 2010 through 2015. So sit back and enjoy the presentation. You can reach Dave at 241-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions or concerns. Thank you. This is not your ordinary Comet. Out of approximately 134,623 Comets produced in 1963, there were only 623 base sedans produced. How many base sedans were built with the optional 260 V8 & air conditioning and how many are left today? This a a special car. Most of our photography is done at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum. Be sure to visit our friends at the historic Flight Museum if you find yourself in the Dallas, Texas area.
