1951 Mercury Hotrod
Description
The engine is a 1971 351W bored .030" with a CompCam flat tapped hydraulic cam. It is the 224 350HP profile. The transmission is a 1984 AOD short tail 4 speed overdrive. The car has power steering and brakes as well as new fuel and brake lines. Dual exhaust and capped Lake lateral exhaust line (will need replacement soon).
The body was professionally painted with flat black Medallion HotRod paint. All the chromes are good condition with no dents. The car was lowered 2", the doors were shaved and the lights were frenched. An Autoloc system controls the suicide doors and the trunk door is on hydraulic.
The interior has the vintage seats re-upholstered in black and red leather. The original dash was restored and all the gauges updated. The vintage look AC blows hard and cold. The scuff plates were just replaced.
What needs to be done: There is a short with the door poppers, one small ding on the left rear door, replace oreliminate the lake pipes, reconnect sound system and a choke if the car is to go to cold climate.
I very much love this car but don't haveanytime to dedicate to it anymore.
Please reach out to me for questions or, even better, come to inspect.
Will trade for a pre 90's G-wagon or Defender.
